Wabash College is uniquely qualified to address the national headlines that lament increasing numbers of young men who feel adrift and the declining numbers of young men who choose to attend college. With our track record spanning nearly 200 years of preparing young men to be the leaders our world needs, Wabash helps students learn to solve problems and lead others through complex challenges. At Wabash, it all starts with our College’s commitment to belonging and community.

Every student and employee arrives at Wabash with their own goals, but our mission is to teach young men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely, which unites us in a shared vision of holistic liberal arts education. 球探体育 achieve our mission not only through academic excellence, but by leading our community to see the humanity in others and challenge one another to grow. President Scott E. Feller describes Wabash as a place that offers young men “an elite education without elite-ism,” and this captures the place and the people we strive to be.

What is "Belonging"?

Wabash nurtures a culture where students, staff, and faculty see the potential in each person, value each other’s backgrounds and experiences, and push one another to reach our highest expectations. 球探体育 know that we are best able to fulfill our potential when we are seen and valued and when our talents make a difference to others. Through practices that create belonging and community, Wabash advances its vision to graduate men who will live and lead with integrity.

What is "Community"?

Amazing things happen when people find points of connection and build life-long relationships. Our community thrives when staff and students work, play, and think together—and “get comfortable with being uncomfortable.” 球探体育 are stronger collectively when we offer and ask for help in order to succeed; understand the value of having difficult conversations; and give back through volunteerism, sharing our talents, and “paying it forward.” 球探体育 accomplish these community-building goals in classrooms and on playing fields, and over laughter-filled conversations around dining tables.

The Special Assistant to the President, Dr. Jill Lamberton, is a member of the President’s cabinet, and builds collaborations across the College—from faculty development to admissions to student life—to ensure that building a stronger sense of belonging among all members of the campus does not happen in the silos of campus units, but is coordinated across the College and extends to the wider community.
